An Indian cricket commentator, and former Indian Cricket Team player, Anjum Chopra was the first woman to score 1,000 runs in ODIs for India and played a pivotal role in several historic victories for the team. She made a name for herself in the male-dominated sport in the country and was recognized as the face of women's cricket in India.
Anjum’s leadership skills came to the fore when she was appointed Vice Captain of the Indian team for the 2000 ESPNcricinfo World Cup. With standout performances and on-point captaincy, she led India to memorable victories, including a whitewash win over England and a historic Test win in South Africa. Her tenure as captain saw India reach new heights in women's cricket, culminating in a runner-up finish at the 2005 World Cup in South Africa.
As a left-handed batter and right-arm medium-pace bowler, Anjum's on-field exploits speak volumes about her talent and determination. Her debut in international cricket at the age of 17 marked the beginning of a remarkable career that spanned 12 Tests, 127 ODIs, and 18 T20Is.
Armed with a Master's in Business Administration, she has seamlessly transitioned into the corporate world as a keynote speaker and consultant.
